Account & Subscription

Check your account and current profile first, then review the client settings. Keep your subscription link private.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I protect my account details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your login details safe, and use a unique password for VPNCar rather than reusing one from another site. Treat your subscription link as private credentials: never post it in public forums, online testing tools or shared documents. Before switching devices, make sure you can sign in to the user dashboard, then transfer your client setup. If you have trouble logging in, check your username, password capitalization and browser autofill. Never include your password or full subscription link in a support ticket, and don’t enter your account details on pages from untrusted sources.

How do I update my subscription link? Why haven’t the routes in my client changed?

Sign in to the user dashboard and confirm your current subscription under Subscription Details. Then open the matching subscription profile in your client and update or refresh it. Once the update completes, check that the route list and selected profile belong to the same subscription; restarting the client alone may not refresh its contents. If the update fails, make sure your local network can reach the dashboard and check that the subscription URL contains no extra spaces or line breaks. Still having trouble? Get a fresh link from the dashboard and import it using your client’s instructions. Don’t edit URL parameters yourself. You can include the update error message in a support ticket, but hide the full subscription URL and any credentials it contains.

Do I need a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?

There’s no device limit for simultaneous connections, so you don’t need to change plans just because you’re switching devices. VPNCar supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Check the user dashboard for client downloads and setup instructions for your platform. After importing your subscription on a new device, confirm the subscription name before choosing a route, so you don’t accidentally use an old profile. Check network permissions, proxy settings and routing rules separately on each device; a working setup on one device doesn’t mean another is configured correctly. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on the remaining data in your monthly plan or data pack.

How do I choose between a monthly plan and a data pack?

If you use the service regularly and prefer to manage usage month by month, compare the monthly plans. If your usage is occasional and you want unused data to remain available, compare the data packs. Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date; data packs last until used and never expire. The main difference is the usage period, not just the price. Consider how you use the service: video streaming, file transfers and app updates can consume data steadily, while everyday web browsing follows a different pattern. Don’t estimate usage from connection time alone, and don’t mistake unlimited devices for unlimited data. See the pricing page and user dashboard for current plan options and prices.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Separate local network issues from client settings and destination app problems. Change one setting at a time so you can compare results.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I check first?

Disconnect the proxy first and check that your local network can access everyday websites. If the local connection is also having problems, troubleshoot that first. Next, check your subscription status and remaining data in the user dashboard, and make sure the client is using the correct profile. Reconnect and try other websites to narrow down the issue: a problem affecting every site calls for different steps than one affecting a single site. Check that the system proxy or the client’s network routing feature is enabled as instructed for your platform, and temporarily quit other network tools that might conflict with proxy settings. Change one setting at a time and keep the error message so you can identify the cause.

Why does my browser work through the proxy, but a particular app doesn’t?

Browsers and other apps don’t always use the same network path. Some follow the system proxy, while others use their own network settings. In rule-based mode, a domain may also be routed directly. Check whether the app has its own proxy settings, then review the client’s rule matches or connection logs. You can temporarily switch to global mode as your client’s instructions recommend to see whether the issue is related to routing rules; restore your usual settings after testing. If you need the system-level network routing feature, grant permissions as instructed for your platform. Don’t change unfamiliar system settings. Switching proxy modes won’t resolve issues with the app’s account, region or service permissions.

Still having trouble after switching routes? How can I tell whether it’s the route, DNS or destination service?

Note the current route, destination website and exact error, then test other routes and websites separately. If only one service has a problem while other sites work, check the service’s status and your account there as well. If several destinations show domain resolution errors, check whether the client’s DNS settings match the mode you’re using, and avoid conflicts between system and client DNS settings. Reconnect or clear the relevant cache as your client’s instructions recommend, then test again. Don’t install repair tools from untrusted sources. Include your operating system, the client’s error message and the steps you’ve tried in your support ticket to help narrow down the issue. Hide account and subscription credentials in screenshots.

What information should I include when reporting a connection issue? How do I contact support?

Sign in to the user dashboard and open a support ticket. Include your platform, the message shown in the client, the selected region and route type, and what you were doing when the problem occurred. Specify whether the issue is a failed connection, a subscription update failure or an app that won’t load, and say whether switching networks or routes changed anything. If you attach screenshots or logs, include only the relevant parts and hide your username, full subscription link, sensitive payment details and other private information. Never send your password. If the issue continues, add reproduction steps and new error messages to the original ticket so the troubleshooting history stays together.

Region · Route type · Use case

Speed & Routes

Choose routes based on how your destination app actually performs; a route name or a single speed test isn’t a guarantee.

How can I reduce buffering during peak hours? How should I compare routes?

Pause large local transfers, cloud syncing or background updates, then check that nothing else is continuously using your bandwidth. Keep the same device and destination service while testing another route; changing your network, client mode and playback content at the same time makes results hard to compare. Start by comparing different route types in nearby regions, then adjust based on how they perform for you. For video, try lowering the resolution to see whether playback becomes smooth. For work, check whether the connection keeps dropping. Peak-hour performance depends on your local network, cross-border links and the destination service. Route names can’t replace testing under your own conditions.

When should I choose an IEPL dedicated route, a relay route or a direct route?

Think of route types as different ways to reach a destination, not as a fixed speed ranking. IEPL dedicated, relay and direct routes use different network paths, and a single region may offer more than one type. If you rely on AI tools or remote work, compare connection stability first. For everyday international websites, start by testing an available direct or relay route. For video, check playback on the platform you plan to use. VPNCar covers 100+ countries / 250+ routes, but coverage numbers don’t mean every service will work the same way in every region. Keep a backup after finding a route that suits your needs, and switch based on what you’re doing if a problem comes up.

How should I choose routes for AI tools and streaming? Can you guarantee a platform will work?

First check which regions the destination service supports, then choose a route in a supported region. After connecting, check your actual exit location and whether the service works. AI tools and streaming services may check account region, content rights, exit network and their own security rules. Being able to open a homepage doesn’t mean every feature or content library will be available. If only one feature fails, check your account permissions and the service’s error message instead of repeatedly refreshing. Streaming also depends on your local network and playback device; test to see whether higher resolutions play smoothly. VPNCar doesn’t present examples of a route’s intended use as a guarantee that a platform will remain accessible.

Does quantum encryption make every connection faster? What should I look for when testing speed?

Quantum encryption describes VPNCar’s security approach; it isn’t a speed guarantee. Your experience also depends on your local connection, chosen route, destination server and how the app handles traffic. A speed test alone can’t predict how every website will perform. Compare routes under similar conditions using the same service: check whether pages load fully, video plays smoothly and work sessions stay connected. A successful connection also doesn’t mean a destination service has no region or account restrictions. If a route only fails for a particular task, note the task and error message. That’s more useful for troubleshooting than simply reporting slow speeds, and helps separate different kinds of issues.

Billing & Refunds

Monthly plans and data packs use different data periods. Confirm your plan type, then check your order and payment details.

How much do monthly plans cost? When does data reset, and how are upgrades calculated?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not on the first day of each calendar month. Check your subscription details in the user dashboard for your remaining data and reset date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Review the change details shown in the dashboard before confirming to make sure the upgrade suits your needs. An upgrade doesn’t mean extra bonus data, and another account’s activation date won’t tell you when yours resets. If the order status doesn’t match your subscription details, include the relevant order information in a support ticket rather than placing the same order again.

What do data packs cost, and what does “never expires” mean?

Data packs cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB and ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until used and never expire. This describes the data pack’s usage period; it doesn’t mean unlimited data or a monthly reset like a subscription. If you use the service occasionally, compare data packs based on your expected usage. If you use it continuously, also compare monthly plan prices and reset rules. Before choosing, check the plan type, price and data allowance in the dashboard so you don’t confuse a monthly plan with a data pack. If you’re changing between different plan types, check the dashboard instructions or confirm with support rather than assuming how data is combined or deducted.

Which payment methods are supported? What should I do if my status doesn’t update after payment?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Start the payment process from the Orders page in the user dashboard, and check the plan and amount on the order before confirming. If your status hasn’t updated after payment, return to the Orders page and refresh. Check that the payment record matches the correct order. Don’t pay again just because the page hasn’t updated yet, and don’t transfer money to personal payment accounts outside the site. If the status still hasn’t synced, submit the order details, payment method and any relevant payment screenshots in a support ticket, hiding private information that isn’t needed for verification. A successful payment status in your payment app and an updated subscription in the dashboard are separate steps. Confirm they match, then follow up based on support’s reply.

How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?

VPNCar offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund policy. Before requesting a refund, read the refund terms in the Terms of Service. Then sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket to request a refund and include the relevant order details. If you’re also having connection issues, you can describe them, but you don’t need to finish troubleshooting before requesting a refund. Clearly identify the order you want refunded; don’t just say the service isn’t working without stating that you’re requesting a refund. Follow up in the same ticket with any information needed to process your request. Don’t send your password or full subscription link. The Terms of Service explain the applicable refund conditions; this page makes no additional promise about processing or arrival times.
